Maybe AA can fill us in on the shape of Bama's recruiting prior to Saban taking over. OU and Bama were both stink on ice prior to Stoops and Saban arriving.Comment

Shula was 41st, 30th, 21st, and 15th in recruiting his four years. To be fair, the 41 was due to sanctions and maybe a bit of the 30th ranking.

I remember, I think it might have been the first game of 'Bama's 08 season, Musburger (I think) was repeating the joke about Saban only winning 7 games in his first season and how that translated into $1 Million per victory. There was finger pointing and laughing at Alabama for possibly overpaying Saban and not getting results right away. Then they went on to assrape Clemson and then Georgia in their house en route to an undefeated regular season.

In the meantime, I'll start working on my scouting report for Hawai'i. The gist of it is that the Rainbows are awful on offense with no speed and undersized, slow and terrible on defense. Hawaii will be awful. Central Florida is ime better and Hawaii and Colorado is better than UCF. Penn State should be a lot tougher than Colorado and Wisconsin a lil' tougher than Penn State...
