  • It's an editorial. I don't know the guy, but he sounds like a M alum.

That said, no one should be a fan of a team. You need corroboration of what was in the Athens newspaper.

    • Every starter on M's D got named to an all-B1G team. 8 of the 11 on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team. Peppers was the linebacker of the year and DPOY, Lewis was the defensive back of the year.

The big question is whether Taco (34 tackles and 8.5 sacks) got screwed out of dlineman of the year. They gave it to Tyquan Lewis (27 tackles and 7.5 sacks) so that M didn't get all of the awards. In any event, it is a special defense with a ton of great players.

      • Also, M is five in this weeks CFP rankings. Followed by Wiscy, PSU and Colorado.

Do one of those teams jump M if Clemson were to lose or if Colorado beats Washington even though we beat them all?

The committee wouldn't have put Michigan at 5 if that were the case.

          • Have we all just become Colorado fans?

            I know I have.

              • A rematch between M and OSU would be compelling. Heh, and Ohio State fans would capital H hate it.

                So, I'm for it.

                • Imagine just for a second. The Buffs win. M is elevated to #4. M rolls the Tide, the Schmucks kick the Tigers.

We meet the Bastards on a NEUTRAL field with NEUTRAL refs in the Championship game.

I know, I know. Just a wet dream.

                  • Bama would beat Michigan. It wouldn't even be that close of a game.

Going for 15 out of 17 so soon? Sweet.

Fortunately for the Tide, the game will never happen.

That is fortunate for us. Because we would bludgeon Michigan. It would be ugly, and we would become overconfident heading into the finals.

                            • Alabama's formidable defense is built to stop pro-style attacks and we absolutely devour gap-attack based offensive line sets. It would be ugly. If this were Pokemon, the Bama defense would be "SUPER EFFECTIVE!" - we're M's kryptonite in your current iteration.

We could spot you two 5-stars and kick off and punt with only 10 players as a handicap and still win by 17.

                              No offense.
