  • I'll be very disappointed if Michigan doesn't win either at spartie or in Columbus.

    • Bronco Mendenhall has offered Tysom Hill a QB spot at Virginia. Let's hope Harbaugh can land the Mormon as he wants a top MBA school as well, no brainer really. Kid is married too.

Former BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall stunned all of Provo when he took the same position at the University of Virginia. Soon, most of his staff followed to the East Coast. Now, his former starting quarterback could be on his way, as well.

      • As much as the Rudock experience extended to O'Korn or Hill could get us tickets to the Playoffs (or at least the CCG)- and I'll take that, it's going to be great to see what Fish/Harbaugh can do with a kid straight out of high school.

        • Why Harbaugh was exactly what we needed after Hoke:

"Last year when we didn't make a bowl, I don't know if it was a wakeup call for some of these guys, but I feel like with a new coaching staff that emphasized hard work and grinding it out, I think everyone had bought in," senior center Graham Glasgow said. "And the guys who bought in are making plays and the guys that didn't, aren't, and they're not going to end up being here."

          Drake Johnson:

"He's always been preaching to us, he preached to us this past month, you handle your business the way you're supposed to, you do this the right way and you're going to win the game. Every day, he'd be like, 'OK, we're a day closer, we're continuing to work.' We were very much an all-work kindof team. It wasn't all work and no play, but we were more work-focused. The product today shows it. Coach Harbaugh's methods, they work, they work."

            • I liked the way JH did not seek the limelight and did not go on the stage for the presentation. As far as I could see, he was the only coach this bowl season who said in effect " My guys are men and they can talk for themselves. They won the game." JH does what he preaches. I like that a lot.

                • I saw part of the post game celebration, and Harbaugh was down among the spectators holding his son (Mighty Jack The Quarterback) and mingling with the fans and other members of his family. He let the players celebrate themselves. Harbaugh has never been one to seek the limelight, and at times (at least to me) he seems to be uncomfortable with all the attention he gets.

Um, don't know if you know this or not but Virginia has a really good MBA program as well; some would argue that it's superior to Michigan's. Just sayin'

Given that he's going to be behind the 8 ball for the starter role given O'Korn's familiarity of the offense and a full year with Harbaugh, I see him probably going somewhere safe like Virginia TBH,

As for B-schools, Forbes here actually has my alma mater (McCombs) ranked ahead of UM with Virginia basically in a dead heat with the Wolverines

Stanford, Harvard, and Northwestern provide the best return on investment for graduates of their MBA programs. See where other schools rank:

                        • In response to Geezer's post above, I thought Ohio State should have been in the playoff, too, but I don't think they should have gone in over Michigan State. Goofy game plan or not, Ohio State still lost to the Spartans, and Michigan State beat Iowa, Michigan, and Oregon on their way to 12-1 and a Big Ten title. They had to make the playoff.

I think Ohio State should have gone over Oklahoma, and I said so when the playoff berths were announced. I get the principles involved-- OU won their league, OSU didn't, the Big XII deserved a shot while OSU had its chance to win the Big Ten-- but I was never convinced Oklahoma was a better team. They had ridiculous luck with opposing QBs during the regular season, their defense was questionable, and they had a bad loss. The committee let the timing of Ohio State's loss matter more than the quality of the loss, and ruled out the possibility that two teams from the same league were among the four most deserving. That, in my opinion, was a mistake.

                          • Well Sparty sure shat the bed for the big 10. There's no doubt Ohio would have faired better but like JRB stated, MSU beat Ohio and M. They deserved it
                            F#*K OHIO!!!

                            • What did OSU do to be considered for the playoff?

They played sub par competition most of the year, did not look good or play particularly well, and then didn't win their conference. Hell, they didn't win their division.

They ended up right where they deserved to be.

Glad the committee dumped them further down the shitter, no doubt payback for their countless transgressions.
