Steve Addazio is an offensive coach btw. That BC defense is all the product of Brown's coaching (and player personnel?).
I watched 2-3 BC games this year... That defense kept them in the game for while, but BC's offense was so bad that eventually their chance slipped away.

I'll confess, I knew that BC had a statistically good defense this season, but I had no clue who their DC was. I got the sense that the defense was good for what it was. They didn't really slow down Clemson too much. Notre Dame committed something like 5 turnovers in that game...they had 450 yards...I mean, Wisky gave up 157 point this season...I think OSU was 2nd in the country in points allowed...

...but basically BC was unwatchable. I mean, 3-0 to Wake.

Things to like:

1. Appears to have the right Xs and Os and did more with less
2. Doesn't seem likely to be gone in a year
3. Not an NFL guy who will have to adapt to college
4. Not a crony -- JH looked beyond his inner circle


Things to question:

1. Recruiting?
2. If he's so good why'd it take so long for him to go national?

Eh, whatever. It's not terribly hard to find competent DCs. As long his scheme is consistent with what JH wants to do, things should be fine.

Agree ...... except the Final Four is still somewhat of a Beauty Pageant. Some luck involved in getting a seat at the table there.

Yeah that's true. I could live with a 2015 OSU type season if it came to that. But a sweep of MSU+OSU is a must.
