I trust him too, Prime. The thing that scares me is that he may be in the same position that Rich Rodriguez was when he had to choose between Sheridan and Threet.

LOL, then what? We can get carried away by who looked good in the spring game? Nah thanks. I'll sit and wait until Harbs announces O'Korn the starter during opening game week.
Agreed.
F#*K OHIO!!!

I believe you worried about Rudock actually being a big play guy instead of the game manager everyone pretty much thought he was all season. Sort of like you worried about him coming into his own and looking like the big play Peyton Manning for example when he is on his game and he's had plenty of those in his career.
Did you actually think Rudock had that potential as a pro-style drop back guy? I never saw that in him ...... made some big plays but not consistently enough to be labeled great at play making
I think when I was referring to big plays I meant converting 3rd downs and throwing into relatively tight coverage. I don't think I ever really viewed him as a 30-40 yard downfield threat. But, by the end of the year his accuracy and decision-making were really good. I thought he single-handedly kept M in the game for a half against OSU by making some really good throws in really clutch situations. He also did that in other games -- I thought he was really, really good against PSU, and the final drive of the 1st half was absolutely clutch.
I thought he grew into that as the season wore on. He most likely just kept developing trust and understanding with his WRs and TE and as a collective group they improved together. I think most of that improvement is par for the course -- I mean his trajectory at Iowa as predictable and it was predictable that he'd improve with another season. The wildcard was how long it would take him to adjust to the new team/build chemistry with WRs/TEs.
As an NFL player, I don't think he has the arm. He has good size, good accuracy and I'm sure he understands the game well-enough. But I don't see him throwing 20 yard outs to the wide side.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
Michigan cornerback Channing Stribling says he gained a new respect for coach Jim Harbaugh while the team was in Florida preparing for the Citrus Bowl.
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.
agree. O'korn looked good. I think the Speight "having the lead" is a smokescreen to motivate O'korn to work his ass off this summer, which is a good thing. Speight will be a capable back-up.
From what I saw, I would think Peters is #3 on the depth chart, although I am sure JH will not want to burn his redshirt. Shane-O will slot in as the #3 and maybe the gadget QB --- i could see plays having Jabril under center/ wildcat with Shane-O split out as WR --- would give the team multiple options.
D looked crappy I thought ... I hope we can chalk that up to some lack of familiarity with Don Brown.
Most impressive player was Ty Isaac ... I think JH and co need to cool it a bit before annointing D'veon the starter
I thought this was the most entertaining Spring Game I've seen in a very long time. Nothing was settled as far as the QB situation, but its too early for that anyway. It looked to me like everyone had a great time. Harbaugh is a freaking genius. He's taken something that was usually mundane, and turned it into something that the fans and players both enjoy. A grade of A ++++ for the entire spring practice period.
I was also impressed with the physical development of some of the players. Shane Morris looks like he's filled out his frame a bit more. He looks more confident, and he plays more confident.
My two-cent opinion has changed. I think M has 3 guys who can play quarterback. Maybe not all pro prospects, but guys who can play the position well. Speight looked better than I expected, and I liked the wrinkle of Morris as a receiver. That opens up a lot of things offensively.
Didn't see Peppers, Darboh, Chesson, or Deveon Smith tonight. I hope they were only being held out so that others could be evaluated.
Malzone looked like he had a nasty finger injury when he came off. Ugly.
Loved the "instant replay review" at the end. Again, it all looked like a fun night for the entire team, and the fans were entertained.
Final observation ... these kids are big. Its noticeable.
The local sites are saying Speight is still on top and looked the best. What the hell is going on around here?
