Green had terrible balance. He went down on first contact. I don't know how that could have been fixed. He had better feet than Deveon, but he rarely broke a tackle. He seemed like a really good kid who never developed. If he had played behind a really good OL, some of his deficiencies may have been obscured. Look at what Drake Johnson did last year (2013-2014) behind the same line and Green's shortcomings are obvious.

Derrick Green was ~1,350 yards, 21 TD's in Maryland... Le'Veon Bell was @1,100 yards with 20 TD's in Ohio... Derrick Green was 5'8"/240 lb's while Bell was about 6'2", 220 lb's... Bell's offense in high school ran a read-option that didn't fit him well, Green's was a power I with a fullback plowing away in front of him.Comment
