  • I don't know where to place this, but Baxter returning to USC is a big loss for UM. This year was the best special teams play I have seen in my years of watching UM football.

    • Seriously? I can think of quite a few more off the top of my head, especially in the 80s and early 90s. Plus he wasn't a good recruiter. A loss, but no irrreplaceable in the least.

          • also, Baxter was mainly known for ST's that blocked kicks, etc. I don't remember too many kicks we blocked, but I do remember some ill-timed roughing the kicker penalties.

Overall, I agree he is a good coach and a loss, but I think he is replaceable.

            • Beginning with the Charlie Brown punt, the special teams were a complete disaster for the second half of the season (three special teams TDs allowed, none scored, and one kick blocked)

              • Still 10-3. Stick Utah up Hoke's ass for scheduling (apparently he needed to know how bad his teams were) and we are 11-2. Add the de facto MSU win and it's 12-1.

Not sure what the sky color is in your world, perhaps you need to vacation with Buchanan?

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                    • In other news, the news continues to get better for Michigan's Jake Rudock. He's going to be playing in the East/West Shrine Game.

In just a bit over a year, he's gone from being an Iowa QB that was not allowed to compete for a starting job, to Michigan's QB who just led them to a 10 win season, and a victory in the Citrus Bowl over the SEC runner-up. While some believe Iowa still got the best of the deal, Rudock's end of the season was certainly more pleasant than CJ Spiller's.

                      • CJ Spiller was terrible all season. Was stuck behind Ingram all year.
