Given that he just received a huge extension, I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon. It will take another 3 really bad seasons to move that needle. I suppose Warde Manuel could have different ideas but I think he'll give Beilein a few years on his watch before firing up the hot seat.

All 8 losses are by double digits. This has been annoying to watch.
Northwestern shouldn't be overlooked. They have been competitive at times and played Michigan tough last season. I'd like to see Michigan stop Olaf this time around...
Outside of NW, hopefully Michigan gets one win. It will be tough... Wisconsin is playing so well. Diamond Stone is scary for Maryland.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Heh, and true!
I agree that JB's contract extension pretty much closes out any chance that Warde Manuel will start searching for new leadership in the B-Ball program. It's likely to take another excruciatingly painful experience like the one we experienced with the Rodriguez/Brandon/Hoke years to move Manuel's needle.
But the B-Ball program can't keep embarrassing the U with nationally televised blow-out losses ....... well, maybe it can as long as JB keeps the kid's clean and the program doesn't experience another Tractor Traylor incident:
Traylor was one of the former Michigan players whose ties to booster Ed Martin roiled the program. During his freshman year, Traylor broke his arm in a car accident while out with teammates and recruiting prospect Mateen Cleaves (who ended up going to rival Michigan State). That accident triggered a six-year investigation into the Wolverine program. Martin, who died in 2003 at 69, pled guilty in 2002 to conspiracy to launder money and told federal prosecutors he took gambling money, combined it with other funds and lent $616,000 to Traylor, Chris Webber and two other Wolverine players dating to when they were still in high school.[2] Traylor received three years' probationMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I guess maybe this is going to be what Michigan basketball is going to be. Sometimes they're going to look pretty decent, other times they're going to stink up the joint. And Jeff is right. Unless another major scandal comes along coach Beilein is safe."in order to lead America you must love America"
