49-28 at the half! After the slow start, the offense really clicked. Donnal came back in with about 7 minutes left and is 3 for 3 from the floor, 2 of which I thought should've been And-1's. He also blocked a shot. Wagner also played well, going 2 for 2. In fact, everybody except for Walton (1-4 shooting, 1 assist and 4 turnovers) has played well.
79-56 final. The 2nd half was a bit ho-hum but it was nice that they kept their huge lead and never let PSU get within 20. Donnal with 16 & 8. He isn't doing anything magical in the post but he's being available, making his bunnies, and his hands are so much better than Doyle's. Irvin looked good and had 7 assists.
Michigan's next 3 games are going to be very tough. At Purdue, Maryland and at Iowa. We'll need Caris back to get a win in any of those games.
No LaVert and they're still hanging tough @ Purdue.
Really wish this team could get healthy for once. They have the look of a good team that just needs some more talent. Everything they do is crisp but they get overwhelmed at times against talented teams.
Love how we have charmin soft bigs and they call every nickel dimer against their fucking monsters. I have confidence in Purdue being able to choke this away.
Hammons has always been surprisingly decent at jump shots. In fact, as an freshman and sophomore, I thought he was very passive and often took long 2 point shots.
