  • Well, we'll see how it goes. Beilein has everything supposedly he wants now. There needs to be some big-time results in the next two seasons or there needs to be a different system.

    • IU is going to be really good next season. Yea, yea... make fun of Tom Crean... but the 2015/2016 IU team has a lot of experience returning.
Yogi, Blackmon, Robert Johnson, and now Bielfeldt. Max has progressed to be a decent player based on his last 12 games at Michigan. They also have a lot of good recruits like Thomas Bryant.

My guess: IU was a 10 seed last season? They will be a 4 seed next season at least.
Purdue, IU, and Michigan good basketball teams in the same season? That's exciting to me!

      • When Crean has talent he knows what to do with it. If that incoming freshman big is ready, they could do some damage.

        • B10 will be really tough this year...

Indiana, Maryland, Purdue, Michigan, Sparty all look like top 20 or better programs. Ohio State brought in a really good recruiting class along with a transfer and the Illini is a likely tourney team.

          • B10 will beat each other up like last season (excluding Wisconsin in 2014/2015, who didn't lose that many games).

Speaking of Wisconsin, I wonder how far they will fall with just Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig returning. Probably a 6-12 in-conference record.

            • I think they certainly fall past the top half, about time they lose an early entry.

              • IU was going to be fine next year, but Max fucking Bielfeldt does not move the needle a bit. WTFF?

                • They had no size at all last year. I think this helps them, if only as insurance.

                  • Max played bigger than his 6'7", he didn't have much of a role here but I think he provides you something as long as you surround him with good talent.

                    • No he didn't. He never got competitive rebounds and got swatted a ton. He played right at his non athletic 6-6 height.

                      • I understand the rationale of Beilein taking his own crutch away from himself. The pain in December should pay off in March. I guess it's just one of multiple reminders of the achilles heel of this program, and how, independent of scheme, it doesn't have to be. For the billionth time, he's got to go out and get some damn bigs who can hold their own in the paint, if not control it.

Most grew. Both DJ Wilson & Duncan Robinson put on 20 pounds. Dawkins up 15 lbs. Doyle gained weight but is now 6'9" instead of 6'10".

                          • Gotta have hope for Wilson at 5. Mobile, shotblocker, pick-and-pop potential.

                            • God I wish our football program had that S&C program under Hoke. Wouldn't it be wonderful to know that if a guy comes in as a 210 lb. linebacker he's going to be at the appropriate weight the next year?

                              • Ibi Watson committed. Pack that swingman pipeline a little fuller than it already is, I guess.
