'14-'15 doesn't look as promising as it did a couple weeks ago. LeVert staying around for a senior season would be nice for a change. Like I said above, the importance of the '15 class is really important. All this attrition is makes it really difficult to remain a contender if you're not bringing in talent like Duke, Arizona, Kentucky.

Baby steps. Let's see if this group is ready to contend for a conference title. Maybe even make a Sweet 16.

If McGary is tournament McGary with a couple years of development and LeVert isn't hurt much by the loss of Stauskus; that duo will be really good. Walton imo is a good bet to take a sizable improvement in year two and Zak Irvin has the talent to do the same...

Talent is good enough (top 16, Sweet Sixteen, potential Elite Eight) though M is relying a bit too heavily on unproven guys like Irvin, Chatman, Donnal/DJ Wilson and that's assuming McGary returns. Top 6-12 program is light years ahead of where M was 3-4 years ago.

With McGary back I expect a Final Four-worthy team. #2 seed.

Nick Baumgardner tweeted that Beilein says Hatch will be on an athletic scholarship.

If anyone needs to pause from the Red Wings game, Kameron Chatman is playing on ESPN2.

We're suppose to know McGary's decision tomorrow.

I hope he stays. We need him if we're to challenge for another B1G title.

                    • He's out. Tested positive for weed during the tournament, was perhaps facing a one-year suspension. If that was what made the decision for him, how awful.

Sigh. Well, Beilein, do your thing!

                      • NIT next year it looks like.

So much for having one year as the legitimate Big Ten fave. At least we didn't squander these guys but it's probably going to be at least three more seasons until we can make a deep tourney run.

                        • NIT? NIT? Heck they'll be lucky to beat high-school teams. Beilein should turn himself in to the authorities for crimes against humanity.

What did Coach Beilein do? He didn't smoke the joint(s) that got McGary in trouble.

At least the NCAA is consistently stupid.
