  • GR3 comparison is imo better than Hardaway Jr.

Dawkins and GR3 are both great athletes, both need(ed) to add 'some' ability to handle the ball in an offensive set and both need(ed) work to do defensively. Sounds quite a good bit like Hardaway Jr. too.

    • The difference is that Dawkins has a 3 and GR3 never did. That's why GR3's athleticism doesn't translate. The league doesn't need 6-6 PFs unless they are built like, think like, and play like Draymond Green. GR3 doesn't have perimeter skills. Dawkins, despite the lack of a handle, does.

      • Doyle is looking pretty sloppy out there so far tonight. He's had 2 rebounds slip right through his hands.

        • Yup, if Doyle doesn't watch it he's going to get buried on the bench. Wilson(granted we're talking 52 minutes of season) I like at the 4 better, but Donnall and Wagner both have looked better than him.

Nice to see Irvin out there getting his feet wet.

          • Michigan is starting to get it together. Up 7. Duncan Robinson has been great. Two 3's, a dunk and two FT's.

            • Our bigs are just a little too soft. My god, what this team could do with a Chris Webber in the middle...or just any big that attacks the rim instead of trying to finesse it. There are a lot of good passers on the team. An angry big would flourish.

              • Up 10 at the half. Irvin looks rusty, which is to be expected. I liked what I saw out of Robinson and Wilson. Walton finished the half well. Everyone else was okay but not great.

The heck? Sounds like a load of nonsense to me!

                  • Wilson got robbed of a block. It was a half-court shot but he swatted it. He should have 2 instead of 1.

It looks like players are going to have to adjust to the new way refs are calling things. Fortunately, Michigan has depth so foul-trouble shouldn't be a major problem.

At least they have a fair amount of size now. A far cry better than the days when we had DeShawn Sims and Zack Gibson as the only guys over 6'7". Robinson did a good job of boxing out. Wagner looks like he needs to put on some more weight but he's at a better starting point than DJ was.

                              • Look a lot more engaged on defense early here. Gonna be hard to keep playing 10-11 guys...I don't like it personally.
