IMHO some of this is reversion to the mean. Beilien's approach has never been solid but he got great results with them for a short time. But now the misses are starting to catch up to the hits.

Beilein (IMO) is starting to become the Rich Rod of basketball. Its flashy and fun when he wins, but when those threes aren't falling, its bad. Real bad. He doesn't seem to value defense, or a strong presence down low.

It looks like the mgoblog crowd is finally starting to turn on Beilien's. Lots of grumblings that this shit is just unacceptable. This year's team reminds me of some of Steve Fisher's shittily coached underachieving squads.
