Your school colors should never change though I'm okay with an alternate jersey with black as a main color. With M's dark blue, the black would never complement M's unis.
That's a correct binary statement. In actual useful relative terms, though, the Nike logo jerseys aren't in the same time zone of bad as the Adidas bullshit and the UA Maryland horror show.
IMO, the Nike logo jerseys aren't even as bad as the ridiculous highlighter uniforms M has apparently taken to wearing. The Notre Dame adidas uniforms from last night (and their counterparts) are well beyond those.

We beat you in them and then MSU. It made sense to wear them against Indiana. Never again though. It's amazing that even something as simple as those two-tone unis and addidas can still make it look horrid. One fucking shade of yellow, one goddamn shade of blue. NOT FUCKING HARD AT ALL.
I agree -- Nike's logo jersey is a ton better than what addidas is putting out there, and ND reached a new low. Depressing. I can't believe Michigan is wearing addidas' stock off-the-rack uniform. Let's just fulfill Spielman's prediction of pink polka dots, get sick of this stupid trend, and move on already. For fuck's sakes.
Nothing justifies any of this, frankly. How long until there's uniform changes at halftime? Why the fuck did we wear last year's uniforms two or three times this year. And why are the stripes on the football uniforms in different places depending on the player? What happened to them being uniform?
'Catholic 7' expected to become 10-team league next week

NEW YORK -- If all goes to plan, and few expect it won't, DePaul and the so-called Catholic 7 will swell into a 10-team league by the middle of next week.
The additions of Xavier, Butler and Creighton should become official by Wednesday or Thursday, according to sources familiar with the talks. And thus the new Big East would take shape for 2013-14.
Xavier and Butler left Atlantic 10 meetings in New York on Friday, according to Sports Illustrated. The thought was that league might vote on increasing exit fees Friday, and if Xavier and Butler announced their imminent withdrawal, they would have lost voting rights and therefore would have had to exit the meeting.
The Atlantic 10 is holding its league tournament at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, Creighton indeed will be the 10th team in the league, a source told the Tribune. There had been some debate on the identity of any additions after Xavier and Butler, but the new Big East has settled on Creighton for certain, barring unexpected complications.
It's not believed any of the three potential additions has signed intent-of-entry paperwork with the new league, and nothing is truly official until they do. Snags or delays remain possible. But the new Big East currently expects to make the announcement before NCAA tournament play begins.
DePaul, Marquette and five other basketball-playing Catholic schools announced their intent to secede from the Big East in December. After negotiations were finalized and then ratified Tuesday, those schools received the rights to the Big East name when they begin play in 2013-14.
The league has hired a search firm to find a commissioner, a process that one source expects might take six-to-10 weeks.

The 10 members will be the Catholic 7 schools that left the Big East -- DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall, St. John's and Villanova -- plus Butler and Xavier of the Atlantic 10 and Creighton of the Missouri Valley.

Butler, Xavier and Creighton had not officially withdrawn from the A-10 and MVC, respectively, as of Friday, sources told ESPN's Brett McMurphy. An official announcement from the Big East that Butler, Xavier and Creighton will be joining will be made next week, sources told Katz.
Multiple coaches from the new league had told ESPN.com that the new Big East would play an 18-game, true round-robin schedule in 2013-14.
The new Big East will play its tournament at Madison Square Garden and has hired a search firm to find a new commissioner. New York City is the favorite to host the league offices, sources said. The league would start playing Olympic sports, such as soccer, in August.
The seven Catholic 7 schools are departing from the Big East, but will retain the Big East name. The new Big East begins July 1, while the remaining members of the league must come up with a new conference name.
Saturday night marks the final Big East men's basketball championship before the league breaks up. The Catholic 7 will start its new league on July 1, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Notre Dame will join the ACC on July 1, Louisville will join the ACC on July 1, 2014, and Rutgers will join the Big Ten on July 1, 2014.
