I don't think anyone is/was beating Gonzaga, but FFs mean something in CBB. This one reminds me of when Ohio State let a FF get away with a shitastic first half against Wichita fucking State.

Correct. STB for the 20 minutes + Wichita going off. Chase the game for 20 more minutes. Almost get there. Finally get within 1 and dagger 3 from some unlikely bastard.

I guess that's probably better than not making a shot for the final 5 minutes -- actually, wait, it is -- I watched Ohio State do that against Ilinois in their last regular season game and it was awful.

Exactly. That was the football equivalent of your QB throwing 7 INTs against an unranked opponent at home, still ending up with a 22 yard FG to win the game, and your kicker missing it by 12 feet. It's one thing to lose to a team you're better than but to lose to a team that just plain isn't any good is infuriating.

BUT, it won't change the fact that it was a very good season. Sky's the limit for this program.

If Juwan keeps recruiting like he does then things will work out. The one real wildcard is the sort of wild west transfer rules. You can remake a solid team into a really good team with transfer. M, I think, relied on several transfers. Baylor is relying on transfers. Ohio State just got a much needed guard transfer from PENN STATE.

The surefire NBA lottery pick recruit is still the obvious way to go. But, now it's an open question as to whether a high 4* type kid out of high school is a better option than a 3-yr starter from Northern Kentucky.

But, either way, players should want to come and play for a good program. Pretty much like with HARBAUGH!!!!

That sounds like almost every M v ND football loss I've ever seen.

They lost on a bad shooting night by one point. I thought they might be getting past the loss of Livers, but it bit them in the butt last night. His presence on the floor would have been worth at least a few points.

Time to move on. Maybe Hunter and Franz come back, along with one surprise guard. And then again, maybe not.

A lot of big questions about Howard were answered this season, and all were on the good side of the ledger.

EDIT: They lost by two. The point I was making still applies.
