    uh, yeah .....

I think its great that M and Neb are having great B-Ball seasons but, frankly, I don't give a shit.

I know it's easier to "build" a good basketball team from nothing but for God's sake, there is no excuse for Brady Hoke's mediocrity. He's had one good (and F'ing lucky) season. The other two have been terrible.

BTW, as hack has offered, the Beilein hire was a result of a competent coaching search while Hoke's hire was marked by one, it would appear, as freakishly incompetent.

Martin v. Brandon? Dunno if one of those two turds is that much better than the other. Both have different (+)s and (-)s. You would have thought Brandon would have the edge in managing a decent search.

I think the back room politics and maneuvering in hiring a head FB coach is a lot more problematic than what might be encountered in a the hiring of a head BB coach. Pretty sure that's the case at M, mucking up clear thinking and all that. Suspect its the same at Neb.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • At Michigan this is unquestionably the situation. All the dogma that goes with the football program prevents the AD from going out and getting the best possible coach.

Michigan is having a great year, after having had a great year in 2013. Not really much of a stretch to go from losing in the finals to be really good again. JMO
Nobody respectable was picking Nebraska to be dead last in the conference. Quit with the hyperbole. Maybe nobody saw an NCAA tournament berth coming, but Nebraska was supposed to be a decent team. They were certainly in my top eight before the season started.
