This is why I said a month ago that if Gonzaga played in the Big Ten (or the usual ACC or Big 12), they would just be one of the guys. And by “one of the guys”, I’m talking about teams that were still 1 or 2 seeds in the tourney. But they all had between 4-8 losses...and so would have the Zags. SO happy that they won’t be the first team in 45 years to go undefeated. In the Big Ten we call a game like this “Wednesday”.

I’m talking about the day in, day out, grind of a major conference schedule. If a P5 team runs the table, then hats off to them. But I didn’t want to see it happen to a team that goes on the road to play University of the Pacific while UM, MSU, OSU go to play Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin.

The Zags were a really good team. How they would have done in the B1G is speculation but I'm guessing they would have done very well and probably won the league. Undefeated no. But they were a really good and fundamentally sound team. Baylor was extremely athletic and before the season started was garnering lots of preseason pub to be #1...they had a long spell with no games because of Covid and lost some of their mystique...I really thought the Zags skills would overcome the Bears athleticism but that obviously didn't happen. Congrats to Baylor.Shut the fuck up Donny!

They were definitely the best team this year. I came away less impressed with Gonzaga after these last two games, very good team but they looked slow. Tonight may have been an aberration because they maybe had dead legs and Baylor shot the lights out early, but the UCLA game was a warning sign. They looked slow in that game and UCLA is not that good.

Gonzaga would not have been undefeated in the B1G. Neither would Baylor. UCLA was no better than the middle 5 of the Big Ten."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"
