Oof, Mike Woodson to Indiana.
Would have been nice if Matta was hired as an assistant head coach like Phil Martelli at M.

Seems very underwhelming. If Woodson hires an excellent staff, maybe he can find some success. Otherwise I have doubts here.

I'm just glad they didn't hire Beilein.

He certainly wouldn't be a long term solution, but he could have gotten them pointed in the right direction in 2-3 years.

Woodson is a replacement level NBA coach, he is not terrible and if you need a coach in the league he is competent. I'm not sure he is going to do much other than make the team play good defense.

The last good Knicks team was coached by Woodson. Obviously the ok Hawks teams in the 2000s.
If I was Indiana, would see if Beilein has any interest in an assistant head coach job. He can be the Xs and Os guy.
