Iowa is destroying Marquette right now and Indiana destroyed Creighton earlier. Would give the Big10 a 4-3 lead over the Big East unless Iowa somehow blows a 27 point lead.

Ugly night all around the conference after what had been a promising week. OSU humiliated by UT-Arlington, Michigan easily beaten by Xavier in Ann Arbor, Penn State destroyed by Duquesne, Wisconsin loses to Georgetown, and Maryland barely escapes from being upset by mighty Rider.

Illini fans soured on Groce a season ago. The problem for illinois is administratively they are a wreck. There is an interim chancellor and interim president. They also just fired their ad. They need to get all of that sorted out before any coaching issues.

Purdue looks great vs Florida. So much size with Hammons, Haas, Swanigan, and Edwards....
Michigan might have trouble against them.

I'm not expecting Michigan to beat Purdue this year, unless Hammond reverts to the effort-issues guy of two years ago. Michigan is going to see some significant in-season improvement for sure, but what happened against Xavier is a pattern. Those steal-our-lunch money losses happend on occasion until last year, when they were common. I'm wondering if the lack of a Novak, Burke or Stauskas is the issue. Those were three different types of leaders, but leaders nonetheless. We'll see. This is a show-me year.
