Of course ND wants to play Alabama. You can't win the BCS Title if you ain't playing for it, and ND is one of two teams that will do that. Alabama or Georgia -- doesn't matter.

Crazy season for ND. They look extremely beatable against against some average teams at home, and then they win convincingly at Oklahoma and USC. They've improved a lot from last season and from the beginning of this season. Hard to believe that Michigan had a great shot at beating them despite 6 turnovers. I'll root for Alabama since my earliest college football memory is a Ken Stabler to Ray Perkins pass. It's much harder to like them now that Satan is there. I discovered Michigan the day they beat osu in 1969.

Yeah ND has a lot in common with 02 Bucks. Great defenses have a way of winning. Miami as defending champs were big favorites.best of luck in braking the SEC stronghold.

As far as the (TBD) opponent...it is who it is. Certainly I understand the skepticism about playing Alabama. Certainly I understand why Alabama and/or Georgia would be favored. So be it. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what any of us think.

We're talking about a group of kids that have been told they weren't worthy before the season even started. That there were too many holes in the secondary...that you can only go so far with a freshman QB...that the schedule was too tough...etc...etc.

How serious should Notre Dame take anyone questioning their worth at this point?
