Congrats on Dave Casper making the CFB Hall of Fame. He certainly belongs there. But to balance that out, world class horse's ass Jimmy Johnson was also selected.

Thanks. As time has eroded many of ND's claims to fame, having a monopoly on great TEs is something we've been able to hold on to...We've got three in the NFL now and current Sr. Tyler Eiffert is projected as the #1 TE coming out.

Congrats, Clash, on Smith. That's a great pickup. Between losing him and Pocic to The Hat, disappointing week. Bah.

Appreciate it. That was seen as a "must get" being the kid is from Ft. Wayne. We are doing well overall, but we're doing just as well at this point last season...after starting off 0-2, the class started falling apart. I'm not going to get too excited until we put some legitimacy behind recruiting these kids to come and play for a winner.

Thoughts on the atrocity that is the Notre Dame uniform?

Humiliated. This is one part of a long brewing issue amongst the ND faithful for a couple of years for ND to "get with the times". Other "discussion points" are playing music in the stadium, getting a jumbo-tron(s), synthetic field turf, etc. I've usually held with the old-timers to keep things traditional...until last year's game at the big-house. I never realized how much of an advantage it could be to have booming (non-band) music and videos going to keep the home crowd excited.

The "compromise" on changing the uniforms...supposedly to excite/intice recruits, was that we would play in specialty uniforms for our neutral site game. I was at the MD game last year in fed-ex, and they were ugly...but nothing like this.

Even the younger/modern fans are mortified by these things...

ND looked a lot better than I expected. Granted, it's only Navy, but at least it was a return to the 1980s and 90s versions of ND vs Navy.

If you're picking between those two evils you could go with the one whose players haven't tried to intentionally hurt our players. Plus, ND's been down so long it's hard to hate them as much as normal.

There's no need to feel mixed allegiance or betrayal here...historic precedence says that if we win the first Michigan team, we lose the next week.

The only difference is that we are playing State first this season...

I can't help it. I want ND to beat MSU. Never, ever thought I'd say that.

I've usually felt that I want the kids from the state of Michigan to win.

I always root for the Domers in that game. Tho I did find the humor in the long win streak Sparty had on them.

I think Sparty winning helps M more this year. If M beats ND first, M looks better if Sparty loses.
