Thanks for your openness, Marine. I know that is tough.
I'm sure you already know this but I want others to know this too. There are some incredibly effective cancer therapies out there these days. I'm sure you are getting the best care.
Semper Fi, my friend.
...... F ..... NDMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Liney: “THE HELL WITH NOTRE DAME”
I honestly don’t consider it a complete rip and believe fans of either team can garner a measure of pride from that quote.
Bringing you guys on-board was good luck at the right time. I had a favorable CT scan Friday…my first since the diagnosis. Chemo has stopped all growth at the esophagus, and actually reduced the cancer nodules on the liver. And you infidels who don’t believe in the higher power of luck, still get a feather in your cap. Oncologists from U of M have been working my case since day two…volunteering their time, expertise, research, contacts, etc. I’ve got a ways to go, but it’s a nice boost to know that what we’re doing is working.
Otherwise, I’m touched and very much appreciate the support. I’ll check in as often as I can and keep you all up to date.

Heh...I'd rather get the remission notice on 9/5 and then endure a(nother) loss to Michigan. Honestly, if anxiety was a carcinogen (sp?) I'd swear the seeds for this were planted during the under the lights game...still the worst ND experience of my life.
Wingsfan,
Does your friend have the initials "J.R." and live in Grosse Pointe? There is a friend of ours who had a very similar diagnosis as mine 3-4 years ago and beat it back. He's been cancer free for two years now.
Passed along a great quote that I'm constantly reminding myself of...
"If you're going through hell...keep going"
W. Churchill
