  • M should have 3 wins in a row. Given typical attrition, that should get them at least to #20 by the time they play OSU. At that stage, a split of the OSU/Bowl game is all they need to finish in the top 25.

    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

      Indeed.

In as much as the enemy of my enemy is my friend, your input is appreciated.

Odd that you would have to ask...seeing as your knowledge base was sufficient enough to dictate that Brian Kelly didn't know who his best QB was just a couple days ago...

Anyhoo, I don't really know the answer to your question. I can however, tell you how many ranked teams have beaten Notre Dame so far...

Two "University of Michigan" forum phenomena have genuinely thrown me for a loop in the last month.

            1) Prior to this season, Jeff Buchanan was easily the most biased and prejudicially subjective homer on the board. Blue in Wisc. was pretty bad, but still a distant #2. Yet few of you have been as magnanimous and gracious in acknowledging a hated opponents success as he has.

            2) Your (Liney) prediction and confidence in Kelly's success at ND was immediate and consistent...surpassing even mine. Yet now that your forecast is coming to fruition, you seem the least willing to accept it.

Such is the dynamics of CFB I guess...

            • I knew what was coming for the Irish under Kelly because I've followed Coach Kelly's career for a long time now. The man knows football, and he knows how to win in football. He has national championships to back it up. He brought Central Michigan from the bottom of the MAC to MAC Champion in about 3 years. He knows football.

I wouldn't have had a problem with Michigan hiring him instead of Brady Hoke, although many in "the fort" had a problem with his personality. Kelly would have been a winner at Michigan too.

Finally, I don't consider my accuracy in predicting Kelly's success at Notre Dame as somehow finding a new respect for Notre Dame. I still hold a grudge against them for allowing that fool Lou Holtz to be their head coach for so many years, while cheating his a** off, and turning a blind eye to it. Its the same reason my dislike of ohio has reached new lows. At one time, I had some grudging respect for OlieO, until winning at all costs became more important than winning with honor.

So, I still dislike Notre Dame. I like Coach Kelly, because he is a fellow Michigander and I respect what he did at Grand Valley and Central Michigan. If he adopts the ND mindset, that respect will fade.

              • ND is just a good football team winning more than its share of close games.

Fine...that is still head and heels beyond what we've been over the last decade plus. Yet you say it as if it's an insult.

                  • Absolutely horrid PI call on Pitt on 4th and 4. Next play is a TD, of course.

                      • I'm not sure how ND isn't #1. What grit. Clearly a top shelf team and most likely better than alabama.

                        • The whole nation is waiting for the Alabama/ND matchup.

                              • Meanwhile, Oregon, who would get destroyed by ND, is laying one on USC. But, that's why they're behind ND in the BCS.
