Well, there might be one regret for Ovie: The Capitals held a 3-1 series lead, and are now 0-5 in franchise history when blowing a 3-1 series lead, which is an NHL record.

Ovie is flying to Prague at this very moment!!!! To join Russia, thought it was too late to add players once the medal round starts. That used to be the case anyway.

LOL, they just said Ovie is on his way over and will play in the semi-final if Russia beats Sweden. That's what I like about him. He always has his eye on the prize.
I just read that the new bridge to be built linking Detroit and Windsor will be named the "Goldie Howe International Bridge". Very appropriate. Glad Gordie survived his recent health scare and hope he'll live long enough to see this project completed.
I do feel sorta bad for Ovie. Ten years, zero trips to the conference finals despite having scored 36 goals in 72 playoff games. His supporting cast has let him down more often than not.
From my seat, They should have won game #7, best Caps team I've ever seen. Holtby will backup Price for Team Canada at the newly minted World Cup (run by the NHL).
Russia beat Sweden 5-3 just moments ago.
Means USA v. Russia in the Semi, tough to beat a team twice.
Ovechkin will now join Russia on Friday in Prague, wonder if he is predicting another game 7 victory here too?
Team USA Roster 2015. 6 NCAA kids, Team under 24 years of age, youngest in Tourney. Lead by Justin Faulk, NHLer, legit star, Seth Jones, might be one day. 7-1 in the Tourney, embarrassed several good teams so far.

Russia's Panarin on semifinal vs. U.S.: 'We need to teach those college kids a lesson' Artemi Panarin didn't waste any time firing the first salvo in the psychological battle that will surround Saturday's 2015 IIHF World Championship semifinal game between Russia and the United States.
The recent Chicago Blackhawks free-agent signing handed the Americans some bulletin-board material by suggesting he and his teammates were itching for an opportunity to put the U.S. in its place.
"We're in a fighting mood to play the Americans," Panarin said Thursday. "We need to teach those college kids a lesson."
The United States defeated Russia 4-2 during the preliminary round. Panarin was limited to one assist in that contest, but Russia will have Alex Ovechkin in its lineup for the rematch.
