  • I suppose it makes a difference in repair difficulty if its a cut versus a tear. He's got the "Heidelburg Dueling Scar" of the NHL going.

Cage is the way to go at any rate.

            • Why did I think that this was a college hockey/NHL double header?

                • Ah.. ok. For some reason I thought that U-M Hockey was going to be playing some sort of under card game and then the Red Wings were playing after that.

No matter though. I've been watching. Looks like a great crowd for a cold day, and a holiday to boot.

I'd like to see more outdoor regular season hockey. It seems more natural for them to be playing outdoors.

                        • How are they going to get ice to stay frozen at Dodger Stadium? Have they invented artificial ice or something?

                          I agree with Tony.

Actually, yes. It's been around for about 70 years. You just put a refridgeration system below the ice surface.

                            • And with LA temperatures at game time likely to be in the mid 60's, to lower 70's, it will still stay frozen?

                              This I need to see.

When we used to skate on Fridays and Saturdays at Ballenger Park in Flint, even though the rink had a refrigeration system under the ice, the ice would start melting when the air temps got around 40 degrees.

I don't see how they'll be able to keep it frozen with temperatures in the 60's and maybe 70's.
