    • I wish that we were going right from basketball into the NHL playoffs this year, but we still need to wait a month so that we can get in our eighth game against Nashville, Dallas, and Carolina. 🙄

      • It's funny how much the winners write history, the Wings were this model franchise, they did everything right. Once Lidstrom retired shit just went downhill. It just seemed like nearly every move they had would build on to another move. Once it went bad it went totally bad.

        • Anthony Mantha traded to the Caps.

Fortunately, we still have Helm, Glendenning, and Filppula.

              • Take a look at Vrana and Mantha goals and assists the last 4 years identical. Now you can say..... well Vrana play on Washington and Mantha played for Detroit >>> or you could say Mantha had way more PT and PP goals, now Vrana will get that. Plus we get a 1st and 2nd RD pick plus Panik who could be moving soon, don't forget we have to leave someone unprotected for Seatlle.

                • Time to cast off the last remnants of the Holland era once this season is over. 5 seasons with no playoffs now. Blashill in particular really needs to go.

Yea even Yzerman couldn't give Helm his wish to get traded to a playoff team, Filppula is ok, a gap stop past Cup winner >> he will be gone at the end of the year. I do like Glendenning, gritty player not really great at anything, but before he hurt something (?) was was in the top 5 in FO wins in the NHL.

                      • Vrana scored 4 goals tonight. For you hockey novices out there, that’s a lot for one game.

                            • Dude has a wicked shot!! First Red Wings player to score 4 even-strength goals in one game in 25 years 1996 (Sergei Federov)

                              • For the first time in years I actually have a tiny ping of optimism. They're at least playing a ton of young guys and most of their first round picks from the last 6 years. Time to sink or swim ala Mail-it-In-Mantha.
