You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Patrick Waaaah is quitting as the Av's coach because he feels he's not being given the ability to affect personnel decisions made by the organization. Despite being coach and VP of Personnel Operations. Someone must have told him his word in NOT law and it hurt his widdle feewings.

World Cup training camps open the 4th or 5th of September.
I remember my first, 1981 Canada Cup/World Cup, as a young lad, my BFF & I rode our bikes 38 KM to watch Team CCCP practice followed by Team Canada, never saw such magic before.
"TORONTO/NEW YORK - The National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL?) announced today the training camp information and slate of 12 pre-tournament games for the World Cup of Hockey 2016.
The training camps for all eight teams are expected to begin Sept. 4-5, with specific details related to each federation to be announced in the coming weeks. Each of the eight teams - Team Canada, Team Czech Republic, Team Europe, Team Finland, Team North America, Team Russia, Team Sweden and Team United States - will play a total of three pre-tournament games. The training camps and pre-tournament games will be held in locations across Europe and North America."
Gretzky not pleased with Team North America (NHLers 23 years old and under). Feels some of the younger stars, namely Connor McDavid deserve a chance at cracking the National Team. He has a point as usual.
Even Wayner's photos shine brilliance!
A young 25-year old Wayne Gretzky passes to an even younger, 21-year old Mario Lemieux to score the most brilliant goal ever in International play. (Paul Henderson was sweet too)

Loved the fact that the"Russian 5" (Slava Fetisov, Alexei Kasatonov, Sergei Makarov, Igor Larionov and Vladimir Krutov) could only watch in horror, bested by Canada yet again.
I wish Holland would take over in the desert - they love him there.
There are three names the team appears to be moving forward with: the Desert Hawks, Red Hawks and the Nighthawks. These names were all registered as several different domain names by Black Knight IP Holding Company, LLC, the company owned by Las Vegas hockey owner Bill Foley within the last few weeks.
World Cup 2016 SAP major sponsor patches on uniforms, damn.
Cool, It was unveiled that both pucks and player jerseys will feature computer chips that track player speed, distance between players, shot direction, time on ice, and more. The tracking will be used during broadcasts.

Fans at home watching on Sportsnet can expect an enhanced viewing experience, similar to what the NHL has done for All-Star Games in the past. Player jerseys and pucks will be fitted with tracking devices that will tell us how far a skater travels over the course of an entire game, what the precise gap between a defender and attacker is and the exact speed of a twine-bending shot.
If they can track the speed of the goal, you'd think they could determine if the puck fully broke the goal plane? I'd amend the rule to similar to the NFL, where the ball just needs to break the plane to count as a score.
It’s a trial balloon that, depending which way the wind blows, could lead to more permanent implementation.
“It’s two weeks; it’s in one place,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, “it really gives us an opportunity to test it before we have to decide whether or not we’re going to unleash it on 1,230 regular season [NHL] games.”
