  • If only it was the Stanley Cup Finals, the league would gift him a couple wins to make it interesting.

    • At least cindy is knocked out (with barely a whimper) in the first round

Cindy has never scored an overtime goal winner. This time his half-hearted lazy attempt against the boards leads directly to the Rangers series ending goal.

      • Cindy lost a whopping 57 face offs during the short series lol oh he did have two shots on goal though. Pittsburgh just lost their seventh straight overtime game.

Oilers making more moves, dump Lowe & Mactavish, hire Nicholson and Chiarelli all made possible by Connor McDavid.

Expect the Hockey Canada management to tap their boy, Mike "Double Gold" Babcock.....gaining steam.

He wasn't out of work for long. Chiarelli built a nice legacy for himself in Boston. His teams went a combined 386-233-85 and qualified for the playoffs seven straight years from 2008 through ’14. He built the teams that had the third- and fourth-best regular-season records in franchise history. He won the Presidents’ Trophy in 2014, and the Stanley Cup three years before that.
Boston went 41-27-14 this season, finishing two points shy of a playoff berth. The Bruins posted an overall regular-season record of 386-233-85 under Chiarelli.

The Bruins reached the playoffs seven times and won the Stanley Cup in 2011, their first championship in 39 years, in Chiarelli's nine seasons as general manager.

              • No shortage of goals in the late game last night, Vancover blew a three goal lead and lost 7-4 to the Cal*Gary Flames . Yuri Hudler is playing some great hockey.

The Penguins won't escape salary-cap purgatory because so much of their payroll is tied into too few players, several of whom are well past their primes and provide little trade value. The biggest problem area (forwards) is also the weakest part of the prospect system. And there aren't enough draft picks because of foolish trades.

                      • Petr Mrazek getting bombarded, 1 unbelievable (and lucky) save, then another. 2-0 Tampa easily could be 4-5 goals.

Long past their primes at 34+ years of age, more good news for Vancouver fans. They fire coach Alain Vigneault and keep the Sedin Sisters. AV takes the Rangers to the Stanley Cup final last year and the current PT winner NYRs are Cup favs out of the East again.

I've been sayin' it for years.

Injuries will prevent Sedins from participating at World Championship

[Though their performance didn't appear to be undermined, Henrik and Daniel Sedin played through injuries in the Vancouver Canucks' opening-round loss to the Calgary Flames.

As such, the twins have reportedly informed Sweden that they will not take part in the World Hockey Championship in Prague, the team confirmed.

Henrik and Daniel, dominant at times in the series, combined for eight points in the team's six postseason dates.

They each skated in all 82 games, and will have certainly stockpiled some bumps and bruises along the way
