The bad news for Pens fans.... instead of being up 3-1 in the series, it's deadlocked at 2-2, with 2 of the next 3 in Pittsburgh... thanks to Marc-Andre Fleury surrendering 14 goals over 3 games. Of course, facing a goalie who?s letting in one in every four shots helps, too for the Isles.
The good news.....Pens backup - Thomas Vokoun, a veteran netminder and oh yeah, a New York Islander killer. Vokoun is 3-0, including a shutout, and has 0.90 goals against average. He's had a better season than MAF anyway and should have started the series.
Fleury has played 78 playoff games since 2007, most out of any Pen but just like last year against Philly, he is fighting the puck, lost all confidence and is shaky at best, time to bench him.
Expect Pens to roar back tomorrow night in Pittsburgh, Vokoun will be solid.Last edited by Optimus Prime; May 8, 2013, 05:22 AM.?I don?t take vacations. I don?t get sick. I don?t observe major holidays. I?m a jackhammer.?

Vancouver's troubles started when they gave up a ton of players and draft choices to acquire Henry & Danny Sedin in 1999. The Sedin Sisters have been a Goddamned joke for over a decade.
Followed by their moronic inability to trade "outcast" Luongo for over a year now. BTW he was their best player this year in the playoffs, go figure.
Oh well, next year for the Canucks. LOL

1 assist. Ended up -1 in the minutae[sic]......
???
So was Malkin, Iginla, Morrow, Glass, Orpik & Eaton. That tends to happen when your starting goaltender surrenders 6 weak goals in a single game and 14 over 3 games.
Funny, the Rocket Richard Goal Scoring Champion Alex Ovechkin went pointless in his team's game # 4 loss to the Rangers and finished the night -1.
In fact, Ovie finished the entire 48 game regular season at an embarrassing +2.
Christ, if coach Oates catches on to your inane & inconsequential trifling, Ovechkin is benched for sure in game 5!Last edited by Optimus Prime; May 8, 2013, 07:16 AM.?I don?t take vacations. I don?t get sick. I don?t observe major holidays. I?m a jackhammer.?

Vancouver is 2-12 last 14 playoff games
The Wings aren't making any changes, so once again, Mikael Samuelsson will be on the top line with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg, in place of the suspended Justin Abdelkader.

Funny....I'm wondering who said anything about A) Benching your Boy-Crush, or B) has slathered over each "Shift-by-shift" about Ovie......Malkin.....Iginla, et al. By your masturbatory posting, I would think Cindy should win this thing single-handedly. But, yes......The Penguin's Goaltender is the weakest link.
As to missing a letter in Minutiae.......I'm remaining stubbornly insistent that there is no "I" in hockey! :-D

Red Wings just re-took the lead 2-1, midway thru the 2nd period. Nice pass by Datsyuk (sprawled out flat on the ice, BTW) to Zetterburg streaking down the ice. Hank's shot was blocked but not controlled by Hiller, bounced right back out to Samuelson on the right side who rammed it home before Hiller could recover his bearings.
Now the Wings putting tremendous pressure offensively on Hiller, I like the energy level Detroit's showing in this period.
