  • rats ...

I'm still holding out for contraction of the league.

Get down to about 16 very good teams in two 8 team divisions. Play from November to March, and have Stanley awarded before the end of April.

But .. that's just me ...:::sigh:::

              • Whoops. Looks like I jumped the gun on the schedule. That was just the old schedule. It has been taken down from the NHL website.

                • I was wondering about that myself. I can't find anything. Makes sense to create a new balanced schedule rather than jump into the middle of the original one.

                  • all I saw was the games will just be in conference

                    • Jan 19 is the scheduled start date, possilby 15th, highly unlikely.

                      • I wonder when they'll let potential attendees know when and where the games will be played.

                          Pittsburgh Penguins -- 8-1

                          New York Rangers -- 17-2

                          Vancouver Canucks -- 9-1

                          Los Angeles Kings -- 12-1

                          Philadelphia Flyers -- 12-1

                          Chicago Blackhawks -- 14-1

                          Boston Bruins -- 16-1

                          Detroit Red Wings -- 16-1

                          St. Louis Blues -- 16-1

                          Minnesota Wild -- 18-1

                          • I'd have the Flyers at the top of the list, better than 8-1 Pittsburgh.

Claude Giroux has become the best player in the game, (less Crosby) and will totally dominate , especially in 50-game sprint season. If Pronger plays this season, they will be awfully tough to beat.
