  • Have to wonder how last night's loss to 'Bama will influence Green and Treadwell. Will they see opportunity or an inferior program?

    • The thing they need to remember is that most of the guys on both teams, that they saw play last night, will be gone by time they arrive on campus.

      • I think Treadwell would see a team (in M) where he could contribute right away.

Not sure about Green. Yeldon is just a freshman, and RBs don't typically jump too early.

        • The team badly needs talent at the skill positions.

          • If we could have just one of those big RB's that Bama had, we'd be in pretty good shape. BTW .. Dee Hart looked smaller than Mike Hart.

            • Fred Jackson needs to keep his mouth shut about Thomas Rawls. I"ve seen nothing to gush about in 2 years, but old Freddy will have him winning the Heisman in camp next year.

              • We might be getting very close to the time when Coach Jackson needs to hang up his whistle.

                  • And Fred Jackson has been a real trooper, as well. He came there when Bo was still coaching, worked thru the Moeller years, and for Lloyd. He was the only assistant that Rodriguez kept. And now, he's with Hoke.

He's had a fine career. It may be time to bring in some fresh blood with new ideas.

However, Fred Jackson is an excellent recruiter. We'd miss that.

                    • Yeah I wouldn't toss Fred out just yet. Lets see what Michigan produces in the next 3-4 years at RB. He's had some awful good ones.

I agree, but in looking toward the future I think we still lack playmakers. Hoke's been recruiting the trenches pretty well.

                            • The trenches is where we got whipped.

If you control the trenches, you can control great playmakers.

                              • True. And, btw, it is folly to think one game will change a recruit's mind.
