Crazy that we have 10 4*'s already. We only have 12 4*/5* in the great 2012 class.

M has a decent chance with Kendall Fuller (5-star CB, Maryland), intends to visit Ann Arbor in the spring. Probably going to make my recruiting board if he makes to AA...
M commits are doing a good job recruiting top 50 overall LB, Mike McCray out of Ohio. He's not a lock for Ohio and could make my recruiting board soon... Jaylon Smith LB (4-star, top 50 overall) out of Indiana is thought to be an OSU lock with his 'brother'? being a RB at OSU. Interesting to see if M can get him more interested in M... Recurring with the LB theme, Peter Kalambayi (4-star, top 75 overall) has shown a bit of interest in M and has a good chance at hosting him for camps/junior days/etc. EJ Levenberry (5-star, Virginia) is a guy most everyone will offer; his very early top 6 is Ohio, M, FSU, Oklahoma, Florida, ND.

Two things on McCray -- I think Rivals way overrates him and he'll commit to OSU nearly on the spot if offered.
Jaylon Smith is a ND-OSU battle. He's not a lock for OSU by any stretch, but it's ND that's pulling at him.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

As I've said, repeatedly, OSU/M isn't a zero sum gain when it comes to recruiting. In fact, if Hokattisson keep it up, it's far more like to be Big 2 time. And this weekend sort of sums up why.
M got at least 4 kids that Dantonio should have been able to make a real run at. 2 Michigan kids and 2 Ohio kids that, for whatever reason, OSU wasn't pushing for. Those are 4* kids the rest of B10 has been able to snag as of late. Not any more.
And, look, don't get me wrong -- I'd love to have LTT and Fox...love to have them, but they were huge M leans from the start. And I'd take the OL class as a whole right now.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I had a little bit of time to look tonight at some of the videos of the 8 kids that committed this past weekend, and I really like what I saw, especially Bosch and Fox on the OL. Another that really looked surprisingly good on film, though, was Wyatt Shallman. What are the plans for him---it sounds like he would prefer to remain at RB/FB, but he sure looks to have a quick first step when playing on the DL. I looked at several minutes of highlight film of him on 'D" and he was consistantly first off the ball with penetration, looked much more athletic than 2012 recruit Matt Godin, another M recruit from the same Detroit CC team. As a RB, he seemed to run well with good balance and cutting ability, but I can't see him staying there with his listed 40 time being just 4.8.Last edited by Rob F; February 21, 2012, 12:29 AM.

I like his name, too---Tyler Tokarsky. Hope he gets a t-shirt that simply reads "College"...

I wonder if he has a nickname-if not, I would suggest "Bluto".
Maybe Tokarsky can even give motivational halftime locker speeches...
