Great to land a blue chipper from Illinois this year, it could lead to other blue chippers from Illinois as its particularly loaded in top 100 talent this year... Terrific OL class (Tuley-Tillman, Pocic, ) in addition to skill guys like Isaac, Treadwell, etc... M is 'in' in all of the blue chippers in Illinois other than a couple QB's; both of whom will probably have offers from almost everyone in the B10 other than M.

M has told Shallman he's a running back, which I think is a mistake. Not because he's not a talented back but because he's that good of a defensive end...
Oracle and I posted at the same time but yes, Bosch most certainly helps M with other Illinois recruits; Tuley-Tillman, Treadwell, Pocic and Isaac mostly. Great year for top talent in Illinois and M establishing pipelines there is great to gain an edge over ND. Carr, RR generally lost recruiting many of ND vs M recruiting battles in Illinois. ND generally has been able to take the very best in Illinois, leaving the scraps for Wisky, Iowa, Illinois, NW to fight over....
Going off on a tangent but the talent in M in '13 isn't particularly exciting after the top 6-7... Class of '14 in-state is deeper and has a lot more top 200 type talent; should be a year M will offer ~10 or so in-state kids.

I expect a couple new names to pop-up in-state this summer in camps, kinda like Drake Johnson did but otherwise yes, M cleaned up in-state very early. Berkley Edwards is the type of guy who could get a late offer if ones available late, he's a RB/ATH that could play some receiver and runs a 4.5... If M strikes out on its top targets at DT nationally, they might fall back on Poet Thomas DT... Riley Norman probably isn't M caliber at OL, should do well for MSU...
Might recognize the name of Demar Dorsey, he's going to transfer after next season and should get B10 quality offers, classified as a transfer in class of '13. Will need to get his academics to get by admissions. GRCC is actually one of the few CC's M is accredited for.Last edited by WM Wolverine; February 18, 2012, 02:52 PM.
