EJ Levenberry has a top three of FSU, M & Florida. Will be be a tough pull (potential 5-star) but he's a Virginia kid so its not like were trying to steal someone from their home state...

Updated recruiting board reflects class of 13's recruits top 3, top 5 and/or favorites. Dropped Breneman from recruiting board as I see him staying out east in PSU, Maryland, Virginia area.

I'm against an early signing period. It benefits schools in areas that has a lot of HS football talent.

Last season was M's best recruiting class in a long time, I say that with confidence. M has struggled in recruiting since '04, only '06 was a strong class in hindsight; '05 - '11 M just didn't recruit guys who turned into all B10, NFL type talent and that is the type of talent you need to win at the B10 level...

M 'needed' a really strong class in '12 just to keep up to par with the stronger B10 programs. Another very strong class in '13 is needed to separate themselves from the MSU, Iowa's, Wisky's & maybe even PSU/ Neb who are arguably trending southward.

I think the rumor is that Taco Charlton (?) is going to make his verbal commitment public tomorrow afternoon.

That would be Jake Butt TE/DE; film I saw of him he was a DE 90% of the time and looked like a really good one but he's being recruited more as a TE...

Lots of kids could drop relatively soon (Charlton DE, Lewis cb, Dukes WR, Treadwell WR), Charlton sounds like he'll take some other visits, Treadwell too so those two are likely to decide in the spring/summer.

RB Deveon Smith may also commit before his HS senior year begins. His first offer was from Michigan, and he grew up a Michigan fan. He now holds an offer from OlieO as well, and says that they are both "50/50". According to the Detroit Snooze, he's developed a pretty good relationship with Greg Mattison who is the lead recruiter for M in his case.

I don't think UFM is recruiting Smith particularly hard. JMO. It's hard to tell these days because he offers so many players. But, I don't think Smith could "commit" to OSU at the moment.

Taco is a pure upside recruit. IMO, he was totally average when I saw him play. Ignatius whipped him in the title game.

Butt is pretty good. He's a kid who will be a player.
