Tough competition for both OL, but M is imo favorite for Garnett unless he decides to stay closer to home (Stanford)... Diamond very early always maintained M as a frontrunner till he was worried about competition after Magunson, Kalis & Bars committed... I think M has as good as shot as anyone with him... Kozan is probably more likely now, not sure how hard M was recruiting him or M's recruitment of him was because they kinda knew about Stacey potentially wavering...
New recruiting board:
*OL: Joshua Garnett, Jordan Diamond & Alex Kozan...
*CB: Armani Reeves...
*TE: Sam Grant...
M now has 5 spots open and just 5 recruits on the board, probably won't 'fill' this class so 5th year guys are likely to return and preferred walk-ons likely get a scholarship for the year.Comment

Stacey is from Cincy area, having family be able to drive within 45 minutes or less to see your home games is huge... Tons of recruits stay close to home, its always much more difficult to draw kids out-of-state and outside of B10 country than it is to draw kids within a 2-3 hour drive.Comment

Wrt garnett playing away from home, Sam said it was a total nonissue. He said Garnett's dad wanted to play at Michigan for Bo. His parents wouldn't let him go that far, so he went to Washington. It's looking very likely that Sam Grant will be joining this Michigan class shortly. He just de-committed from Boston College, and insiders are reporting that this one's pretty much over.
When you get out to the start Michigan had to this recruiting season, you're not going to have a big finish, nor do you need one.Seems like this class has only gone backward for the last 3 months.Comment
