    100%.

I just don't think you can collusively establish what are, more or less, employment rules. So, w/o some sort of CBA you're likely not to get a defined set of enforceable rules.

We're probably completely on the same page -- plusses/minuses each way.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

    • Yep. Absolutely. It’s a bit if a Pandora’s Box, but at this point, there is little choice.

      • Sam Webb is now predicting the Smith brothers will flip to Kentucky, 100%.

        That's 2 - 4-star defenders.

        The free fall continues.

        • Watching Jaydn Davis's team play tonight on ESPNU. I can see why his QB ratings are rapidly dropping. He's thrown for 2 TD's but hasn't rushed for any. The recruiting services have certainly justified their rationale for dropping him down so far. He's a horrible prospect, and even John O'Korn would see this kid play, and say "this kid sucks".

In 2024 and beyond, the dark ages return. The overall class ranking is headed for the 20's.

          • He finishes with 4 TD passes, 2 of them to his teammate who is also coming to Michigan.

The kid can play, but he's no JJ. It'd be nice if NIL can come up with enough money to keep JJ at Michigan thru his senior year. Davis won't be ready when he arrives.

These two guys play for Corunna, who is one game away from playing for the Division 5 State Championship. They're not on Michigan's watch list, having already committed to SVU, but these guys are really exciting to watch. Twin brothers, one a QB, the other a WR. And they have been devastating to everyone they've played. Nobody has been able to stop them yet. They play Flat Rock on Friday, for a chance to go to Ford Field on Thanksgiving weekend.

All four of my younger brothers graduated from Corunna.

                • They're both committed to go to Saginaw Valley. They were at the Purdue game on an unofficial visit. I don't think either of them have a Michigan offer. In fact, I don't think either has a offer from any Big Ten team. I think the one who plays QB was offered by a MAC school, (not sure which one) but he turned it down because he wants to go to school with his brother. They wouldn't take both.

But they are fun to watch. They hooked up on a 89 yard TD pass last Friday.

                          • Michigan got a verbal commitment from a 4 star QB from Ft. Meyers Florida today.

Carter Smith, 6'3" 185, ranked 209 overall in the 2025 class.

Michigan now has quarterbacks Jadyn Davis in the '24 class and Carter Smith inbound in the '25 class.

Michigan obviously cheated better than Georgia, Florida, Florida State and Miami (his other choices) to obtain his commitment.

Carter Smith, a four-star quarterback prospect in the Class of 2025, has committed to Michigan over offers from Florida, FSU and Georgia.

I like what I'm hearing about the kid. Seems like a good fit.
