  • Not landing Gary would be a huge embarrassment given his former coach is on Harbaugh's staff.

Haven't been this giddy about Michigan football since '97.

In other news, Harbaugh & Hitler both vacation in Paris albeit 75 years apart.

If Gary doesnt commit to Michigan, look for Michigan to make a big push for Chris Daniels out of Texas and Darius Whitfield out of Alabama.

      Go Lions.
Back during the big 2* surge I warned people that just because we were filling up on our 2* guys now, it didn't mean that we were going to round out the class with all of our 4* and 5* targets. Back then, Bush Jr, Upshur, and Gary were all lumped in as guys who would contribute to a Top 10 class. Now more than likely Michigan will land none of them. and we will have to go after some plan B targets and flip some Iowa or Minnesota commits.

      • Don't forget Caleb Kelly! HARBAUGH!!!!'s "swarm camp" in Fresno was basically the "Recruit Kelly Camp." Less success in the valley than at Prattville with "hidden gems."

        Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

        • One has to wonder if Peruball is the best way to recruit.

          • Quick update on the Oracle-Talent top 10 wager. M is currently sitting at 9th in the 247Composite. Every team ahead of them has AT LEAST three fewer commits. Of those 8 teams, I guess they have an outside chance of maybe passing Ole Miss or Penn State, but I'd say limited at best.

More importantly, the teams behind team also have few commits. Stanford, in particular, has 7 fewer commits and is a mere 3 points back. UCLA, though a bit further back (15 points) has 6 fewer commits. And Miami are also very close to M's number. Hard to see them staying in the top 10.

Rivals is set to issue new rankings next week. That could shake things up a bit depending on how radical the changes are. You don't typically see huge jumps for teams as the ups and downs are distributed roughly evenly throughout any given class. Perhaps M will catch far more ups and solidify 8th.

Incorrect. That word describes what's happening now. It does not imply something that wasn't happening at any given point in the past. Please review and resubmit.

                • I don't think he's appreciably more likely to attend an SEC school than he was a month ago or two months ago or three months ago.

The word describes what's happening now relative to a time in the past. Though, I guess it could have its "social media" meaning which is just a bunch of hits. I rather doubt it's the latter given use of the word "toward" clearly implying a point in the past.

So, as I said, not really trending toward the SEC. The SEC just remains, IMO, the favorite.

Better. Last month, last week, yesterday, two seconds ago -- the word does not weigh in on that. Your objection to how the word was used initially is unfounded. You were, as you might say in other cases where honestly nobody cares because the point is clear anyways, incorrect.

                    • Incorrect, but explaining our fair language to Canadians is a task I'm not up to. I'll opt for teaching calculus to chipmunks. Better RoI.

                      • Incorrect. But I think it would be progress if you decided to aim your tutorials at the appropriate level of learner. Chipmunks are probably a better fit for you than Michigan fans.

                        • I've always seen Gary as a recruit that's going to decide near signing day and felt that M's success on the field in '15 could sway him towards or away from M.

Good update, thank you. Been too busy to check out 24/7 so this helps. I always knew it'd take a Gary, Kelly, Corely, etc. to get in there. Still a long way to go...just wanted to make a bet so I didn't have to engage every little Twitter update on recruiting.

I've always seen Gary as a recruit that's going to decide like Da' Shawn Hand that Nick Saban will put him in the first round of the NFL draft regardless of M's 2015 on the field performance.

                              • I think it's a reasonable comparison. Hopefully when Gary decides Michigan will be on the upswing rather than imploding.
