He can release Weber to certain schools and not others. I wouldn't hold out hopes of Michigan being on that list and don't think Michigan should be an option for Weber. We have other positions of need. Good luck to Weber sorting himself out here, but as far as I'm concerned Michigan has what it needs. The common perception of this is that Weber would have come here but for Higdon, regrets his choice, and now we can enjoy Wilcher milking his 15 minutes at OSU's expense. In the long run it all makes little difference, but Weber ended up an M/OSU proxy war and in a rather unexpected way M won.
However, while its a tough situation for Weber, he had plenty of time to make up his mind, ask questions and get straight answers. Like, "so, Coach, what members of your coaching staff might be leaving, if any?" That's a question that Weber and his handlers absolutely should have asked and had answered..... or, maybe like Roquan Smith, not sign an LOI. What a novel idea (fuck the NCAA BTW).
Just knowing what I know about ufm, I think he might have hedged his answer to that such as, "your committing to a program and to a school, not a specific coach" or words to that effect. Any moron could see that kind of answer for what it is. If Weber or his handlers aren't comfortable with that kind of answer (i.e., that is the guy I'm {or my son} are going to spend most of my {his} college time with and I want a guarantee that he's going to be there before I {my son} signs), move on. I highly doubt frank would have said no one is leaving or even I don't know if anyone is leaving if he actually knew that his RBs coach was leaving and for the Bears. It is possible that this RB coach, if he did know, didn't tell frank.
Moreover, the single coach on a team (maybe the guy that recruited you) has little to do with how successful you are going to be, if you are a right fit with the team/school, all of that touchy feely stuff.
Frankly, I'm sick of Weber's whining and his drama act around all this. I might have some empathy (but not much) if he just kept his mouth shut like he absolutely should. I'm also pissed that adults on his side of the table didn't do a better job of getting this kid's head screwed on straight. Where the hell was Wilcher in all of this?
nevertheless, I love seeing the osu nation and particularly ufm uncomfortable but I'm pretty darn sure, Frank, the heartless bastard, could care less. Time to move on, nothing to see here (and he's right.) But, damn this is fun.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Actually, Weber has tweeted roughly 7.5 words on this. He expressed a similar sentiment to an current OSU RB -- man, it sucks to lose my position coach.
One guy keeps whining about this.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
