  • According to Sam Webb, his decision won't affect that of Cass Tech RB Mike Weber.

    • Word is Weber won't flip. Insiders say he just called UFM and told him he's IN.

The story of the past 3 or 4 days is pretty fascinating. Some germane quotes w/o sharing too much premium stuff verbatim:

Last night I get notice from someone who trains Weber and is very close to him that it's Michigan. This morning, same source feels good about it. Then, on my drive to BTN this morning, he says it's back to Ohio State because of Karan Higdon. All along though, the thought was that Weber was OK with the Higdon kid because they visited together last weekend.
That's from Allen Trieu who has been on this one for awhile.

And Ohio State did reach out to Scott at 530am this morning to try to sway him.

      Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I guess that will have to offset not being thrown to for the next four years.

        • Weber will be buried on the depth chart at osu. Frank just wants to keep him from Michigan. We'll get better backs in the future.

          • No. RB depth would have been a big concern without a RB in this class. They would have taken Weber, Scott or Harris and been happy.

Now Harbaugh can try to flip Kareem Walker -- #1 RB in 2016 -- from OSU.

Scout people really think Weber was set on signing with M until Higdon signed. That could just be those guys covering their ass because Weber probably knew Higdon was in for a day or two.

            • This is shitty for everyone involved. I feel for Weber. I don't think having him or not having him makes very much difference at all for either program, but with all the hype and tension I can feel myself hoping for an M ``win'' right now. Silliness.

These little battles matter for a day or a few hours -- whenever the decision is made -- and you move on. Tomorrow is finally all about NEXT season and the nonsense of the past 7 years if finally and officially put to the rest. Everything is now Harbaugh's team.

                        There's your positive thought, hack.

Matters to Weber for a lot longer than that. Not to overdramatize -- I'm sure he'll be fine in the end. Choosing between those two schools is ultimately a nice problem to have. But clearly he's struggling with it right now and has been for a while.

                              • Ok he's a buckeye now so forget all that. Fuck him and his decision to ruin his life. Asswipe. What's with kids these days anyways with their rap music and their school choices? I fear for our collective future.
