..... hail, hail to Michigan the cor-por-ate success.
Go Money!Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

If the recruiting dries up then Brandon needs to cut bait quickly. The last couple classes could serve a competent coach nicely in a couple years. There's enough talent in the program for a legit coach to make something respectable out of it.

I believe it is from Sam Webb. And if it's accurate, I would say that closes the book on Campbell as far as M is concerned. You don't often see a de-commit and then a re-commit unless the kid is playing both sides of an Alabama-Auburn money war.Last edited by iam416; December 18, 2013, 08:10 AM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

All these 'uncles' and their handling of a recruiting process look shady to me, similar to Jordan Diamond...
If you could go to LSU, Auburn, Bama, A&M, Ole Miss, Clemson and get 'paid' or go to M, ND; where would you go?Last edited by WM Wolverine; December 18, 2013, 08:19 AM.

FSU and Clemson seem to be the players at the moment.
FWIW, the feeling on OSU boards was that Campbell was going to be very hard for M to hold. That's not something I would ever post here while he was committed, but this isn't exactly a shock.
It's a huge loss for Hoke, though. The kid is big time andDan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

It's kind of surprising with the development of all the great wide receivers and the dominant buffalo wild wings berth season that the elite Florida reciever would look around.
The program is middling at best right now, and there is not a whole lot of evidence that it is going to "return to glory" soon.To be a professional means that you don't die. - Takeru "the Tsunami" Kobayashi

Mgoblog now has the report. He has decommitted. Probably for real.
I wonder if Brandon even sees the cracks in the palace wall?
On to the larger question. If the playing field in CFB is ever going to be level, something has to be done about the amount of money that appears to be available to high value recruits.
I would do this by tightening up the signing process in a legally sound way. Contracts. ...... We give you X to play for college Y. In turn you agree to abide by certain rules.
X = scholarships + annual stipends that increase each year you stay in school. If you stay for 4 and earn a degree, you get a bonus.
You sign, you're bound. You want to get out of the contract, you pay a penalty.
You could try to form a singe scholarship entity that collects from schools that participate and the scholarships and stipends are then leveled by some formula.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
