If Michigan were 8-1, we would have had a lot better chance. The staff could still argue that at least Big Ten championships are on the way. Now we can't even do that. There's probably some point at which he would have picked Michigan over Alabama.

The fact that people know that we desperately needed this kid tells you everything that you need to know about how much faith we have in the ability of this coaching staff to develop great players. Our '12 and '13 defensive classes are easily better than anyone else's in the conference besides OSU and at this point, yet nobody expects our defense to be great without a superelite recruit who can have instant impact and doesn't need to be developed.Comment

Although, my girlfriend at the time, was accepted after 2 years at Michigan, to their Mechanical Engineering program.
