I see these accusations and I just don't get it. You could make the case for some (intelligence and maybe toughness) but in other cases that doesn't seem right. We don't see Gardner suddenly afraid to hang on to the ball. For all the pounding he's taking you'd think he'd be a little more willing to give up on plays faster than he does, for example. This flies in the face of this lack-of-toughness idea.

It very well could be that our guys are lacking in all those attributes, but I wouldn't mind seeing any sort of justification for the accusation. They're still kids and they are going out and getting their assets kicked on television week in/week out. Not right to just throw them under the bus unless you've got something to justify that. Especially with so much actual measurable tangible evidence that there's something wrong with the coaching. Unless proven otherwise, my assumption is that they are doing their best to execute the game plan. The coaches made the roster and picked the guys they thought should see playing time. Nobody held a gun to any coach's head here.

WOW. WhoDean, how do you possibly look at any of the deficiencies of Al Borges and Michigan's lousy offense and come to the conclusion that somehow it can be pinned on Gardner as a "character flaw"? That's one helluva reach; I can only conclude you were drunk and forgot to proof-read your own post before hitting "submit reply".
