I would call it very early '15 recruiting board except for all the early commits, but it's on the front page.

No idea about Settle's top 5 but he's supposedly visiting the same day as Hand. M needs to get Settle on campus to impress him AND they need to land De'Shawn Hand too to get his interest. Hand is announcing in mid November...
My thoughts on 'numbers' for '15...
Fitzpatrick is a longshot but he's supposedly has some interest thanks to Jabril Peppers recruiting him. M might be happy with just Crawford & Kinnel at DB unless they can land a talent like Fitzpatrick... 2, maybe 3 DB's...
With four LB'ers in '14, M might only take just one LB in '15, they've been very tight with offers. 1-2 LB'ers...
M's only offered one QB thus far and the elite of the elite probably aren't looking at the Wolverines but there is a lot of depth in his QB class so M still has a chance to land a top 4-7 QB in '15 who might be one of the 2-3 in '14... 1 QB...
With Damien Harris & Campbell committed, M can shoot for the moon at the skill positions and still be happy with what they have. Only taking just 1 at WR or RB wouldn't be terribly surprising given the tiny class size; 14-17 members... 1-2 WR, 1-2 RB...
M really needs 3 OL in this class after only 2 in '14. I know they signed 6 in '13 which explains the lack of need in '14 but after the Class of '13 graduate, they are going to be low on numbers... 3 OL...
M already has Pallante at DL, how they handle recruiting for '15 will mostly be based on who they land in '14; if they land McDowell & Hand; obviously the need is less in '15. Because of this, I wouldn't expect the DL class to fill up till after M gets decisions from McDowell & Hand, neither of whom are sure things even if M has a comfortable lead... About 3 DL...
1 K already committed, I think they'll find a TE they like and continue to take 1 TE every class.Last edited by WM Wolverine; August 28, 2013, 06:50 AM.

Settle's top 2 are, in order, Virginia and Ohio State. Virginia is going to be tough to beat. M is a longshot.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

If Virginia gets beat, that's great news for UFM.
But, they're bringing in players. Quinn Blanding and Andrew Brown are aboth 5* in-state kids they were able to keep home. It's a long way to go, but Virginia is a big-time player for Settle, IMO.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Interesting. You don't think of Virginia as being one of those programs with a strong enough tradition for a kid to grow up so madly in love with them that he will turn down a chance to play for Nick Saban or at Florida.
I would expect the SEC to be a bigger competitor for his services than Virginia, but that's just my take. It sounds like OSU is at the same point as Michigan with Hand a year ago. Va Tech supposedly had a cavernous lead on the pack at that point. Now, they are completely gone, and it's either SEC or Michigan for Hand.

I read Jenkins's profile and he strikes me as a guy that Michigan really needs. Prototpyical OT who might be needed as early as his redshirt freshman year if the 2013 guys don't work out. And with both of them, there are some pretty big question marks.Last edited by Hannibal; August 28, 2013, 07:32 AM.
