I'm not sure Hoke wants two more DB's unless they are Lattimore & Smith in a package deal as M took a lot of DB's in '13. Supposedly the two Glenville recruits are very close, Nicholson is far more likely than either of those two. Juju Smith will take an official if there is still room, though he like Lattimore is the type you make room for.

Lattimore is the star, but Erick Smith is really good. Underrated, IMO.

The coaches are really liking the DB talent the they brought in '13. Of course there is Dymonte Thomas who will start as a nickel but likely end up a safety. Reon Dawson came in much more athletic than advertised and is looking like a coup stealing him away from the Illini; he's the type of 'big' boundary corner Mattison loves that can easily move back to safety if his coverage skills aren't there. Delano Hill is another impressive size/speed talent. While Jourdan Lewis is supposedly the best cornerback of the bunch.

Understood. I'm just saying I don't think of Erick Smith as riding Lattimore's coattails. The kid can play in his own right.

Michigan has offered Jared Wangler. He has a really mixed offer list (MAC schools, Yale, Sparty, LSU). He's currently committed to Penn State. This is puzzling. If he is a good prospect, why the long wait to offer? Why would LSU offer? Is it just a favor from Miles to John? Shane's buddy? Anyone have any insight?

I don't have any inside info, but maybe he never showed any interest in Michigan? Perhaps lately he HAS shown some interest? Hoke has made it a point to not chase after kids who have no interest at all in Michigan. Even if he's the son of John Wangler, if he's not interested in Michigan, I don't think Hoke would waste time on him.

Apparently now he DOES have some interest, hence the offer.

Still having problems?

Its working better today than Saturday, but still being difficult to access at times. For the most part, I've been able to access it on my PC because I haven't logged out since mid-week, so it was up and running Saturday when nearly everyone else was having problems. Once I realized by reading a few details in someone else's post mid-morning yesterday, I opened up a new window using IE (I usually run on Firefox), due to what they said about having easier access that way.

To make a long story short, though, what I read from several posters there today is that nearly anyone who tried to access using their normal browser had better luck by changing browsers,regardless of what they normally use. Confused yet? Still others have been able to gain access by going to a previous day on their own browser's history, and yet others had problems accessing board threads unless they took a "backdoor" in, such as clicking on their account and getting in.

While I really didn't have much trouble on my PC other than a couple times getting misdirected to a search engine, my android (using chrome) most often has "timed out" when trying to navigate MGoBlog. It sounds like others have had similar problems with their phones and tablets.

Right now it seems to be working a little better on my phone, so maybe the problems are getting solved?

The 'likely' commit supposedly was McDowell, who is holding things off to take visits. He's a 'quiet' type who finally bonded quite well with M's current commits.

Wangler LB could change his commitment to the Wolverines this week, insiders say he really, really wanted a Wolverine offer early and barring any guilt from backing out of PSU, he's likely a Wolverine. Obviously his dad played here and also has two siblings attending UofM. Not sure how good of a prospect he is, but the staff apparently wants a 4th LB.

He's a 2* on rivals, but his rating is wildly divergent from his offer list (includes MSU, Penn State, and LSU, and now Michigan).

Geezer , I use both Explorer and Google Chrome as web browsers on several PC's.

I too experienced a slight malfunction while viewing Mgoblog recently.
Purged/Cleared ALL browser data in both browsers and MGoBLog's home page now loads with no problems.

Obviously there was a cached internet setting that was causing a problem, I suspect the site has recently changed servers.
