  • There were expectations that the in-state DB's could be ready but that enthusiasm was tempered about a week beforehand that they were waiting till after the season to make their commitments.

    • This is the part of the process where the top players wait to see who makes them the best offer and the lesser recruits who haven't committed get slow-played.

Yup, at this point most recruits will take their officials in the Fall and decide thereafter. Was hoping a big recruit or two would drop at a position of need; WR, OL.

        • Going in, at least at Rivals, they were saying to not expect any big commits at or immediately after the BBQ.

          • At 247sports, pretty much the same though they never ruled it out. Everyone did know about a week ahead that the big three in-state kids (left) were deciding after the season and a couple of those people were expecting most likely to commit.

            • Here's the article we all knew was coming:

A similar Aubrey Solomon article will be posted between November and February.

                  • Especially worrying about '18s already.

                    • I doubt that Harbaugh considers him to be 'committed'. He's probably got a handful of others that he's looking at.

You can't be 'committed' if you are "still open" to other schools. Its not possible under any circumstances.

Didn't take long after he committed to see that Taylor was very, very loosely committed.

And I figure they're 60/40 to flip Najee Harris -- so that will put them at 303.21 with 28 commits. So, still maybe 1 or 2 spots to squeeze in another top 50 player.
Actually, aside from Harris, won't be too far off. You've been readin up.

As WM pointed out, you forgot Ruiz. Maybe a sleeper from Cali sneaks in, but you pretty much got it.

                          • Shelton Johnson's 'troubles' might allow them to take Irving-Bey.

                            • I think they'd take him regardless of Johnson's fate.
