  • AA: The only guy I know, other than you now, who prefers salt water is a friend named Jimmy. Black guy, workout warrior, 3% body fat, chiseled, and he doesn't float in fresh water. I'm just presuming you have the same issues.

    • I know a ton of people who prefer salt water and semi tropical locales over freshwater, especially in northerm climes. In fact, I would posit that most who have spent ample time at both kind of places prefer the former.

I have a lakehouse and will drive by it getting to the Gulf.

There'd have been no problem kayaking along the shoreline there. Went to the Porkies instead. Nice over there, but not worth the drive. The bugs over there were insane, and not just the biters.
My wife and I did the boat tour too during the 4th of July week. We went to Copper Harbor on the 4th and actually got a cabin without reservations. The lady was pretty surprised that we did that and we were lucky they had a cancelation.

                    • Im sure I was severely missed, but just getting back from my yearly golf trip in traverse city/Shanty Creek. Love that part of the state.

My brother who was on the trip as well has a cottage on Johnson lake near Gwinn. He was up there for 3 weeks in July and did pictured rocks. Pics looked great. I havent been there since I was very little almost 30 years ago. Would love to get back up there.

                      • It's beautiful, my parents owned land in Charlevoix when I was a teenager. I used to wake up and golf all day from dust till dawn.
