  • Pretty stupid to guess this early with absolute declarations. Who would have thought Asiasi would ever leave the west coast. Chances may be low, but c'mon "LOL, no way"?

    • No way.

      • . . . . and in other news, Ohio State signs another JUCO, Malcolm Pridgeon, a 6'8", 303 lb. tackle from Islip NY. He is expected to start for the Buckeyes. . . . . . . .

        Just saying.

        • We should get on board with Jucos going forward. Gonna lose a lot to graduation after next season. Perfect time to plug in some 20 year-olds with post HS experience.

          • Another? That gives Ohio State as many JUCO recruits over the past 10 years as M.

            • S/W IMG Academy again, still no word regarding Michigan's open practice policy as the JH move is brilliant and unprecedented. Suspect he'd submarine but you'd think you would want the video spattered on every TV in the Western Hemisphere?

Not counting high school graduates who "decide" to go to a military school for a year or two.

I agree with Mike. I'd love for UM to get a player like Pridgeon any time, but particularly next year, when UM will be in the rebuilding mode like Ohio is this year.

                • Michigan gets plenty of guys who "decide" to go to a military school.

                  • Ugggh. I can't read this again.

UFM is definitely willing to take the right JUCO kid if he comes along. They were really interested in a DT that signed with Alabama. A 26-year old DT. Heh. Pridgeon is far more conventional. I'm not sure he the starting position is his, though.

M is less interested in JUCO kids. I'm sure if they could find a way to squeeze them past admissions, they'd do it.

But by and large the B10 is not a JUCO league. A few schools account for the bulk of them, and even those schools are relatively low.

I'd rather read Prime's hourly blog updating his quest for IMG access!

                    • Should be live tweeted, frankly. One call to IMG = one tweet.

                            • Will the NCAA stop the SEC (boosters/ rich alums) from offering recruits "incentives" to come play at one of their schools?
                              Never mind, we discussed this.

                              • I don't see how the SEC or the NCAA can block Michigan from having practices in Florida.

Northern baseball and softball teams practically live in Florida and other southern states during the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the season, because ... duh ... its not baseball/softball weather up here yet.

Why should baseball and softball teams be able to train and play down south, but the football team can't practice there?
