    • M will graduate a ton after '16 on the OL...

      What's left to replace them:

*Grant Newsome will be a tackle, hopefully LT; imo a possible 3-year starter...
*Mason Cole will play wherever he's needed most, he can play tackle but M might need him more at center in '16. He's going to be a Jr in '16 so we only have him through '17...
*David Dawson OL is next in line for a starting job after the '16 crop graduates, he'll be a 5th year senior in '17.
*Patrick Kugler, hopefully he's our starting center in '17.
*Juwan Bushell-Beatty - bit too early to know where he might play, but as of now he's a likely contributor for '17 when he'll be a rs Jr, hopefully he pushes for playing time as a reserve in '16.

'15 Class: Nolan Ulizio, Jon Runyan Jr. (w/ Newsome but didn't redshirt)
'16 Class: Michael Onwenu, Ben Bredeson & Stephen Spanellis (Alaric Jackson too?)

Tough to project the '15/'16 class. It's missing the potential left tackle I hoped Devery Hamilton was, felt he was very underrated and he was rated pretty well... Bredeson is likely a better interior lineman than tackle, I really like his ability to help early. He could be ready as a rs-Fr... M is certainly in need of a couple true tackles in '17, luckily M is certainly in on quite a few very good ones...

It's always been expected that M will have a rough '17 season on the OL and nothing M was going to do other than land Little was going to have much of an impact on that.

        • Saw an article (247 Sports) which I can't seem to paste that Onwenu reaffirmed committment to UM this evening. Is that old news?

          • Stand-up funnyman Onwenu stays Blue.

Onwenu (6-3, 350) committed to Michigan in June but had been wavering in days leading up to Wednesday's Signing Day.

              • So glad I have an appointment during Gary's announcement. Won't be able to handle people(not here, necessarily).

                • Real talk about Asiasi being Blue. Close with Gary, Asiasi, Hill and Nordin and I'm feeling pretty good. If the scuttlebut out there about an unplanned "silent" which I highly doubt, icing on the cake.

Yep, all signs pointing to Go Blue for Asiasi and another shade of blue for Tagaloa.

No doubt in my mind we land Hill. Hopefully I don't have to eat crow here.

                    Signing day be like... [ame]http://youtu.be/0MiVjitccnE[/ame]

Make your peace with it now, Liney. Tom Vanhaaren was on television last night saying that Gary is "stuck" in his decision. A Michigan lean for a long time, he's now excited about Clemson after one weekend. It's like politics: It's all about the campaign. Mom gushed over Clemson and probably wants him to be close to family. I fully expect him to go orange, and add him to a long list of disappointing recruiting losses.

                            • Good lord, Rocky. Your hang dog armageddon ways are gonna actually make me feel bad if Gary does the unthinkable.

Aside from "comfort and relationships", the other recruiting maxim to follow is watch what they do not what they say. Gary has visited M in January on his own dime. I said weeks ago if he made that unofficial it was a clear sign that it was over. Plus, his friends are there. His coach is there. It's a lock. It really is.

That said, if I were you I'd be a little nervous, too. I generally get nervous when a player is interested in Ole Miss and Clemson. That generally indicates they're open to fair compensation. Not saying Gary is or isn't -- this rule is much less hard and fast the two above rules.

                              • To no one's surprise, Mecole Hardman picks Georgia. Bulldogs now in the top 5 with a mere 17 commits. Eason, Nauta, Hardman, Ben Cleveland and possibly Brown on the offensive side of things. Filthy. Can't wait to see how they fritter away that talent and lose the East to Mizzou or some such shitass team!

Texas is also going to have a big day. Wouldn't be shocked to seem them bolt up to borderline top 10 (from 30).
