Buchanan seems to find a way to post no matter what part of the world he's in.
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

That would explain that weird article in the Times last week. Scientists were baffled at the vast reduction of ladyboys in the Thai clubs and the negative impacts it was having on their economy but now it all makes sense.

      They were at your place!

      It's science
      F#*K OHIO!!!

      • Why isn't "we found a better player" a compelling reason to withdraw an offer? The players do this all of the time. This is life. It happens in everything all of the time. What person does not take the best option available when faced with multiple options? The only issues are did Harbaugh tell them early enough and explicitly enough.

          • Can someone tell me how a coach goes about telling a recruit to "look around" during the "quiet period" that runs from about December 20 to January 15? It seems to me that the fact that JH didn't talk to the player was actually the conduct required by the NCAA.

I was thinking about this as well. The players are in it for their own personal gain taking whatever they can in the dirty business that's known as recruiting.

I'd have felt better about it if coach Harbaugh had called him personally to tell him.

Written and electronic communication is never not allowed. During the quiet period, recruits can still visit.

Exactly. Michigan coaches have been told this very thing many times. Players find "a better fit " at other schools all the time.

                  • Any recruit is welcome to visit me and play the quiet game with my kids. That goes for all of you folks too. If you can get my kids to be quiet then please come on over. Drinks and snacks on me.

                    • He can do anything he wants within the rules, but it doesn't mean the actions will be immune from criticism. The second article Mass posted was totally off in one respect, it said that Harbaugh's SOP in matters like this won't go over as well in Ann Arbor. That is false, this will be celebrated as progress. There won't be any blowback whatsoever other than a one day story that might be a little negative in a torrent of positive stories about this icon. And you can bet Drew Sharp will celebrate this, so he has that going for him.

Harbaugh is kind of like Donald Trump in that regard. All news, positive or negative benefits him.

                      • Ask Jordan Elliott how reliable his commitment is. Should it works both ways?

The it benefits both sides excuse is hilarious. Here's an idea. Let's offer this kid a scholarship. It will raise his exposure level ... then when he commits ... quits taking trips to other schools, makes plans to enroll in AA ... and then we stiff him 1 week before signing day, we can pump our chest and say we helped the kid out.

                          got it.

Well, we know Sparty will never have a quality recruits numbers problem, so the Spitoons wont have to worry about this problem.

Based on Elliott's Twitter, that would be weird to me if he picks Texas.
In the last week, Elliott has liked several Tweets from Michigan fans saying how Elliott will stay in the class... Stuff like that.

Just seems not honorable if Elliott picks Texas.

Zackly. Been saying this forever. I've followed recruiting a looong time. Don't ever feel sorry for the kids or the school. It sucks, one way or the other, but the cliche' "it's business" applies. These aren't toddlers, recruits play the game better than coaches half the time. All moving parts til signing day.
