It's baffling that a program like Michigan can't recruit a blue-chipper at running back despite the golden opportunity to start immediately and play behind a quality offensive line.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

M probably takes 27 in this class, potentially 28 if a kid that can't refuse like Yuri Wright wants to join... Right now they have 24 scholarships available and with likely attrition and 5th year guys potentially not asked to return, they should have 27 to hand out this spring...
Recruiting board on defense doesn't extend much past Danny O'Brien DT (4*) and chasing some blue chippers you can't refuse like Yuri Wright CB (5*)... O'Brien is very high on my wish list and has the combination of athleticism and strength to play at either DT spot...
On offense, the recruiting board is Greg Garmon RB (4*), Bri'onte Dunn RB (4*), Jordan Payton WR (4*), Amara Darboh WR (4*), Monty Madaris WR (3*), Jordan Diamond (4*), Zach Banner OL (4*) & Joshua Garnett OL (4*)...
M's main competition for Garmon looks to be Iowa & Illinois with NC being dropped... M in good position with most all the receivers on its board with Payton naming M his favorite and Darboh nearly doing the same... Banner & Garnett want to be teammates in college, that could hurt M with them... Diamond once saying he'd decide before his senior year, will wait till after his football season.

He may be leaning to Michigan, but there's a long way to go in his recruitment. The Midland area turns out a lot of quality football players. It used to be one of the hotbeds of talent in Michigan, but as with everywhere else in the state, the economy has caused people to leave the area."in order to lead America you must love America"
